
The Gilded Age has many qualities, including its incredible star-studded cast—and things will get even better in Season 3. Several new cast members have been added to the ensemble of HBO’s hit period drama, including Bill Camp, Merritt Wever, Leslie Uggams, and Lisagay Hamilton.
Created for HBO by Julian Fellowes, The Gilded Age is set in the 1880s New York City, and it follows the lives of members of high society facing many social changes as old and new money clash. Season 3 will take us to “the period of immense economic and social change when huge fortunes were made and lost overnight,” according to its official logline.
Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Denée Benton, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Louisa Jacobson, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, and Blake Ritson lead the cast of this series, and they’ll be joined by some pretty amazing newcomers in Season 3.
Emmy winner Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie) joined the series as Bertha Russell’s estranged sister Monica O’Brien, who appears at a crucial time for the family. Bill Camp (Presumed Innocent) will play the world-famous investment banker JP Morgan, who finds himself at odds with George Russell.
Season 3 will also star Leslie Uggams (Deadpool franchise), Lisagay Hamilton (Winning Time), Andrea Martin (Evil), Hattie Morahan (Operation Mincemeat), Jessica Frances Dukes (Ozark), and Paul Alexander Nolan.
