Agatha Christie’s novel The Seven Dials Mystery is getting the Netflix treatment, and the streaming giant found a perfect person to lead it. BAFTA winner Mia McKenna-Bruce boarded this project, and she’ll be joined by Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman.

Netflix’s official logline describes this adaptation as the witty, epic, and fast-paced drama about a young, determined sleuth Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent. She finds herself at the center of a country house mystery after a practical joke at a lavish country house party goes horribly, murderously wrong.

The Seven Dials Mystery was written for Netflix by the Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall, who’s coming on board as one of the executive producers. He’ll be joined by Suzanne Mackie, Chris Sussman, James Prichard, Andy Stebbing, and Chris Sweeney, who’ll also direct the series.

McKenna-Bruce said she’s thrilled to be part of this new interpretation of the iconic Agatha Christie tale based on Chris Chibnall’s brilliant script. She’ll be joined by Helena Bonham Carter (Enola Holmes) and Martin Freeman (Sherlock) in supporting roles.

McKenna-Bruce is the most recent winner of the BAFTA Rising Star Award for her breakthrough role in How to Have S-x. Her list of TV credits includes the British children’s series Tracy Beaker Returns and The Dumping Ground, along with Get Even and Vampire Academy.
