Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ series Landman is getting more star-studded by the day, and another amazing actor just joined the gang. Michael Peña will star opposite Billy Bob Thornton in this drama series set in the world of Texas oil rigs.

Based on the hit podcast Boomtown, Landman is currently shooting in and around Fort Worth. It centers on people seeking fortune in the world of oil rigs, including both the working-class people and billionaires reaping the rewards and reshaping climate and culture along the way.

Taylor Sheridan co-created this series for Paramount+ with Boomtown’s Christian Wallace, and they’ll executive produce it alongside David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, and Stephen Kay.

Billy Bob Thornton will lead this series, and he’ll be joined by Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, Paulina Chávez, and Demi Moore, plus Jon Hamm and Andy Garcia in guest starring roles.

Michael Peña is the latest star to join them in a mystery role, adding another high-profile series to his impressive resume. He’s best known as the star of the Ant-Man franchise, whose most recent credits include the space drama A Million Miles Away and the fourth season of Jack Ryan.
