NCIS inspired several successful spin-offs over the years, and there’s another one on the way! Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly will lead the way in the newly announced NCIS spin-off which centers on their characters Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo.
Tony and Zivaa went on quite a wild journey in the original NCIS series, and this spin-off will see them finally reunited and raising their daughter Tali together. The trouble starts when Tony’s security company is attacked, forcing them to flee to Europe and figure out who’s after them, while also trying to finally get their unconventional happily ever after.
Weatherly and de Pablo released a joint statement confirming this project and said they’re finally ready to bring it to life alongside John McNamara after talking about this story for many years.
“The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears, and laughter. We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the ‘Tiva’ movement for years,” said the duo in a statement.
CBS has given this series a ten-episode order, with writer John McNamara (Trumbo, The Magicians) at the helm. He’ll also executive produce this spin-off alongside Weatherly, de Pablo, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, and Shelley Meals.
