We can count on Taylor Sheridan to round out an impressive cast for each Yellowstone spin-off, and he’s done it again! Rumors about Michelle Pfeiffer joining the Dutton family have been confirmed, and she’ll officially star in the modern-day spin-off Madison.

Madison was originally developed under the working title 2024, with Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell circling the project. After months of negotiations, Pfeiffer’s casting has finally been confirmed, and she’s also joining the series as one of the executive producers.

According to its official logline, this contemporary spin-off is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.

Chris McCarthy, Paramount’s global president and co-CEO, released an official statement announcing Pfeiffer’s casting.

“Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity, and grace. She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan,” said McCarthy.

Michelle Pfeiffer is a Hollywood icon with three Oscar nominations and one Emmy nod under her belt. Her recent credits include Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Showtime’s mini-series The First Lady.
