Paramount+ surprise dropped Ark: The Animated Series this Thursday, and its voice cast is as star-studded as it gets. Michelle Yeoh, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, and Vin Diesel are only some of the stars voicing the TV adaptation of the hit video game Ark: Survival Evolved.

Ark: The Animated Series centers on the 21st-century paleontologist Helena Walker (Madeleine Madden), fighting for survival on a mysterious primeval island populated by prehistoric beasts, while trying to uncover the true nature of their strange new world.

In addition to Madden in the lead role, the star-studded voice cast of this project also includes Michelle Yeoh, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Jeffrey Wright, Elliot Page, Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, Devery Jacobs, Elliot Page, Malcolm McDowell, Monica Bellucci, and Alan Tudyk.

Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczak created this animated series for Paramount+, drawing inspiration from the action-adventure video game Ark: Survival Evolved. Its TV adaptation was first announced at the 2020 Video Game Awards, and its release date was pushed several times before its surprise release.

The first six episodes of Ark: The Animated Series hit Paramount+ on March 21 – and that’s just the beginning. The streamer is also planning to release the remaining seven episodes of the first season at a later date.
