Lena Heady and Gillian Anderson are getting ready to lead Netflix’s western series The Abandons, and its cast is getting better by the day. Ryan Hurst, Michael Greyeyes, Michiel Huisman, and Toby Hemingway are the latest stars to join Kurt Sutter’s new series.

The Abandons will center on a group of diverse, outlier families pursuing their Manifest Destiny in 1850s Oregon, while corrupt forces of wealth and power try to force them out. They’ll do whatever it takes to fight back, stretching the meaning of justice beyond the boundaries of the law along the way.

Headey and Anderson will lead the cast as two very different strong matriarchs – Fiona Nolan, who’ll stop at nothing to protect the four orphans she’s raising, and Constance Van Ness, who’s determined to grow her late husband’s mining fortune.

The Abandons will reunite Hurst (The Walking Dead, Bates Motel) with Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter. It will also mark the reunion between Game of Thrones stars Heady and Michiel Huisman, who also appeared in The Haunting of Hill House and The Flight Attendant.

Michael Greyeyes (Rutherford Falls) and Toby Hemingway (The Crossing) have also joined the show’s supporting cast, which also includes Nick Robinson, Diana Silvers, Lucas Till, Lamar Johnson, Aisling Franciosi, Natalia del Riego, and Patton Oswalt.
