It’s been years since The Mindy Project ended its run on Hulu, and its creator is finally gearing up for another collaboration with the streamer. Mindy Kaling and Hulu are back in business after the streamer nabbed her upcoming ensemble comedy Murray Hill.

This series will take us to Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill and it will see a group of five work-obsessed twenty-somethings strive for professional success, while their personal happiness must take a back seat.

Murray Hill was developed under Kaling’s overall deal with Warner Bros. TV, and several buyers expressed interest before Hulu sealed the deal. Kaling is executive producing the project via Kaling International alongside her partner Jessica Kumai Scott and 3 Arts Entertainment’s Howard Klein.

This series will be Kaling’s first collaboration with Hulu since The Mindy Project ended its run in 2017. The streaming giant saved this hit comedy following Fox’s cancelation after Season 3 and brought it back for three more seasons.

Murray Hill isn’t the only promising project Kaling is working on right now. She serves as a creator of the Max coming-of-age comedy The S-x Lives of College Girls and is currently developing a star-studded basketball comedy for Netflix, led by Kate Hudson, Max Greenfield, Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, and Scott MacArthur.
