Amazing things tend to happen whenever Modern Family cast members reunite, and they’ve done it again! Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson reprised their roles from the beloved comedy series in a recent WhatsApp commercial.
The 30-second clip sees Mitchell scolding Phil, Claire, and Cam for leaving him out of a family chat after he got a new phone. A family housepainter chimes in, telling them they can easily use WhatsApp for group chat, even if they have different phones, and Mitchell and Cam are later shown scrolling through family photos together.
This commercial took us straight back to the Dunphy family’s living room, letting us relieve some of our favorite Modern Family moments. Stonestreet later shared a photo with Burrell, Bowen, and Ferguson on social media, and captioned it by writing “It was fun getting some of the band back together.”
We’ve seen the cast of Modern Family get back together on several occasions since this show ended its run in 2020, but it’s unlikely we’ll soon get a sequel or a reboot. Sofia Vergara addressed a potential return in a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon and said it’s too soon and that they need a little bit more time.
