Only Murders in the Building served as a showcase for many A-list guest stars over the years, and Molly Shannon will soon be joining the pack! The White Lotus actress joined the fourth season of the hit murder mystery series in a recurring role.
Only Murders in the Building follows a trio of true crime enthusiasts (Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez), who join forces to investigate a series of murders in their opulent Upper West Side apartment building, the Arconia.
Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich recently revealed that they’ll briefly leave New York in Season 4 to take a detour in Los Angeles, and they’ll be greeted by a familiar face in the City of Angeles. Molly Shannon will join the cast as a high-powered businesswoman from LA, who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in New York City.
Shannon won’t be the only acclaimed actress recurring in this series in the upcoming Season 4. Meryl Streep also confirmed her return, shortly after winning a Critics’ Choice Television Award for her supporting role in the third season. It’s also safe to expect Jane Lynch will be back as Sazz Pataki after her character met a tragic end in the Season 3 finale.
