Baron Vaughn, Jonah Ray, and Hampton Yount in "Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return"

The Mystery Science Theater 3000 has officially been canceled.

The revival, which landed at Netflix following a successful Kickstarter campaign by Joel Hodgson, will not return for a third season on the streaming platform.

Star of the show Jonah Ray took to social media to confirm the news.

“We don’t know what the future holds for the show,” Ray tweeted Tuesday adding, “it always seemed to figure out how to survive. From Comedy Central to SyFy. Then kept alive by RIFFTRAX & Cinematic Titanic. Whatever happens, I want everybody to know that getting a chance to be on this show was a dream come true.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the revival has a 100 percent Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes among critics and an impressive 92 percent score among viewers.

The original debuted in 1988 and ran for 10 seasons and 197 episodes.
