NBC to re-make ”Brooklyn Nine-Nine”

Andy Samberg in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine"

NBC is continuing the trend of bringing back old Comedy series and are set to re-make Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

NBC took quick action after Fox decided to dump it. NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said that if he had known earlier during the development of the series that Andy Samberg was going to star in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, NBC Studio’s would have never even have sold it to Fox.

“It was a missed opportunity for us from the beginning,” he said. “We jumped on it really quickly, and we’re thrilled to have it.”

NBC will certainly be confident that Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be a success after they managed to succeed with their reboot of Will and Grace.  After ABC also managed to succeed with their reboot of ”Roseanne”, the leading networks have all been competing to find older series that they can reboot.

Meanwhile, NBC said that they will introduce five new dramas and two new comedies next season.
