Former NCIS stars Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo teamed up to executive produce a drama series in development at CBS, according to Variety.

The new show titled, MIA, follows a newly minted homicide detective who is assigned to an experienced, by-the-book partner to solve cases in Miami. She struggles to keep the personal entanglements of her final undercover task from jeopardizing her future.

The series was written by Shepard Boucher who also executive produces alongside Weatherly and de Pablo. Weatherly is currently under an overall deal at CBS TV Studios.

Weatherly played the main character Tony DiNozzo in the first 13 seasons of NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service. He currently stars in his own series, the CBS procedural Bull, which is going into its third season this fall. As for de Pablo, she portrayed the character Ziva David from seasons 3 to 11. The two characters have a flirtatious relationship and often referred to by the combined name “Tiva.” Then in Season 13 finale, it was revealed that David was killed in a mortar attack and that she had previously given birth to DiNozzo’s daughter, prompting him to leave NCIS.

de Pablo is repped by UTA, Management 360, and Ziffren Brittenham while Weatherly is repped by WME, Anonymous Content, and McKuin Frankel Whitehead.
