Netflix Announces “Lucifer” Season 4 Premiere Date

Tom Ellis in "Lucifer"

Lucifer fans bashed together to save the show from cancellation, and now they get to see the fruits of their labor.

The series about the fallen angel who really enjoys Earth was originally shown on FOX, but found itself cancelled after its third season.

Fans who were determined to see the show continue then created a social media campaign that caught the attention of Netflix, resulting in the streaming service picking up the series for a fourth season.

Netflix has now released the trailer for the upcoming season, which features star Tom Ellis rising from a pool in all his six-pack glory. The tag line reads, “He is risen,” before revealing the premiere date.

The description for season four states: “Reeling from the aftermath of Chloe seeing his devil face, Lucifer faces a new challenge: Eve, the original sinner herself, is back. Does she want revenge for when he tempted her out of Eden oh so many years ago… or something else entirely?”

Lucifer will rise on the 8th of May.
