Squid Game became a huge global phenomenon after its first season shattered Netflix records, but all good things must come to an end. The streaming giant released a teaser for the show’s second season and announced this series will end with Season 3 next year.

The second season of Squid Game will see Seong Gi-hun trying to use his newfound fortune to find the mastermind behind the game, only to realize he needs to re-enter it in order to end the whole thing.

“Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport… When his efforts finally yield results, the path toward taking down the organization proves to be deadlier than he imagined,” reads Netflix’s official logline.

In addition to Lee Jung-jae in the lead role, Season 2 will mark the return of Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo. Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an are some of the newcomers joining them.
