Last week, Netflix dropped a brand new crime-documentary series and viewers are already going wild for it.

The documentary is partially based on John Grisham’s The Innocent Man: Murder And Injustice In A Small Town and examines a range of perspectives on a murder case in Oklahoma in the 1980s. Allegedly, it is so gripping that people already binge-watched it this weekend.

The series was developed by Tweel and Ross Dinerstein and produced by Maura Anderson and Shannon Rigg.

Ready Steady Cut said of the show: “Due to similar documentaries, The Innocent Man will offer no surprises, but it does not take away the engaging factor that grips viewers and forces them to binge hours on end on Netflix.

“Mishaps from the police, shoddy defense and prosecutor tactics and the frustrating justice system all come into the fold during the series. The Innocent Man adds to the impressive list of documentaries available on Netflix.”

The Innocent Man is available to stream on Netflix now.
