After only one season on Netflix, Obliterated lived up to its name. The action comedy series led by Nick Zano and Shelley Hennig has been canceled after a single season.

Obliterated premiered on Netflix last November, and it centered on an elite special forces team trying to thwart a deadly threat to the city of Las Vegas. After spending the night celebrating their successful mission in Sin City, they find that the bomb they neutralized was a decoy, and must try to save the day for real in their raunchy, intoxicated state.

Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald created this series for Netflix and told Cinema Blend they could see the story continue with another epic adventure in a different party city.

“That’s how we looked at the series from the beginning was to have these missions, that the first one obviously is a crazy mission gone wrong in Vegas, but it is very closed-ended. That’s not to say there can’t be some open-ended threads to pull going forward,” Heald told Cinema Blend last year.

In addition to Zano and Hennig, Obliterated also starred Terrence Terrell, Alyson Gorske, C. Thomas Howell, Eugene Kim, Paola Lázaro, Kimi Rutledge, and Amalia Yoo in the main roles.
