It’s not uncommon for Netflix shows to get a boot after only one season, and Cursed is the latest series to experience that fate. The fantasy drama starring Katherine Langford has been canceled after a single season.

Cursed is based on the illustrated novel of the same name by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, and it premiered on Netflix back in 2020. It served as the star vehicle for Langford after she left the teen drama 13 Reasons Why that transformed her into one of the biggest stars on Netflix.

According to its official synopsis, Cursed is the “re-imagining of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake.”

In addition to Langford, this series also starred Devon Terrell, Gustaf Skarsgård, Daniel Sharman, Sebastian Armesto, and Lily Newmark. The news of its cancelation comes shortly after Netflix ended several more shows after a single season, including Grand Army and Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!
