After just one season, Netflix has canceled Next in Fashion.
The fashion competition was hosted by Queer Eye’s Tan France and style icon Alexa Chung and saw eighteen designers competing in different challenges centered around different trends and styles based on the way the world dresses. The winner of the season was South Korean designer, Minju Kim, and she won $250,000 and the opportunity to debut her collection with Net-a-Porter.
The 10-episode series had guest judges including Eva Chen, Elizabeth Stewart, Monique Lhuillier, Elizabeth Van Der Goltz, Prabal Gurung, Phillip Lim, Jason Bolden, Kerby Jean-Raymond, Adriana Lima, Christopher Kane, Beth Ditto, Josefine Aberg, “Dao”- Yi Chow, Maxwell Osborne, and Tommy Hilfiger.
France confirmed the news saying, “we’re not doing a second a season.” “This is a one-season show, we don’t know what will happen in the future,” France continued. “But it was honestly one of the proudest things I’ve ever worked on. I love the show and Alexa so much. My focus is definitely on ‘Queer Eye’ and moving forward with that.”
