Netflix’s Tudum Fan Event gave us a glimpse of the streamer’s most exciting new shows and movies, but one of them created more buzz than any other. The first clip from Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is as charming as it gets, and it offers a glimpse of the younger version of the formidable royal.

Netflix unveiled this short clip shortly after giving us the first look of India Amarteifio as the young Queen Charlotte. The two-minute video captures her first encounter with the young King George (Corey Mylchreest), as she tries to climb over the garden wall and escape their blind date without knowing she’s talking to her future husband.

The official synopsis describes the prequel series as “the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.”

Despite Amarteifio’s casting, Golda Rosheuvel is set to reprise her role from the original series, and she won’t be the only familiar face. Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury) and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton) are also set to return, but the prequel will also feature several newcomers to the Ton, including Michelle Fairley, Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett, and more.
