Netflix really kept us waiting for the second season of their hit period drama Bridgerton, but the wait will soon be over. The first teaser trailer for the second season of the hit series is here and it seems like Lady Whistledown is back to causing commotion and spilling the tea in London’s high society.

The teaser opens with the familiar voice of Lady Whistledown (Julie Andrews), asking her dearest gentle readers did they miss her and teasing what’s yet to come.

“As the members of my town questioned my identity and means, this author has been doing but one thing: honing my skills. No, even better, I’ve been sharpening my knives … for all of you,” says Lady Whistledown during her intriguing voiceover.

The new teaser confirms that Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) is secretly Lady Whistledown, as she’s shown writing and uttering the lines of her iconic newsletter. She’ll have her hands full in the new season, which will center on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), who’ll apparently be stuck in a love triangle between the newcomer Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) and her outspoken sister Kate (Simone Ashley).

Season 2 of Bridgerton is set to premiere on March 25th, and Netflix is already plotting the third and fourth seasons of the popular series.
