From rapping to acting, we’ve seen Vince Staples try on many hats throughout his career, but his next project might be the wildest one yet. Black-ish creator Kenya Barris joined forces with Netflix for a comedy series that puts him front and center, called The Vince Staples Show.

Created by Ian Edelman, Maurice Williams, and Staples himself, this series will answer all the questions you ever had about him, according to Netflix’s official logline:

“Who’s Vince Staples? Well, that’s a tricky question. He’s kind of famous, but he’s not. He’s kind of rich, but he’s not. He’s also kind of a criminal. But he’s…not? Follow him on his daily adventures, where anything that can go wrong usually does.”

In addition to Staples, this scripted comedy series will also star Vanessa Bell Calloway (Coming to America) and Andrea Ellsworth (Shameless), plus Naté Jones, Arturo Castro, Scott MacArthur, Bryan Greenberg, and Myles Bullock in guest starring roles. It will feature five episodes, set to premiere on February 15.

Kenya Barris’ partnership with Netflix has been going strong for years, and he developed several projects for the streamer after wrapping up the Black-ish franchise at ABC. In addition to the comedy series BlackAF, in which he also starred, he also made a feature directorial debut with the star-studded comedy You People.
