Dark comedies about true crime podcasters are having a moment these days, and Netflix has another one on the way. Will Forte will play a podcaster trying to solve a mystery in his seemingly idyllic Irish town in Bodkin, and the first trailer for this series just hit the shelves.

Bodkin is a darkly comedic thriller, which centers on a motley crew of podcasters trying to come to the bottom of three mysterious disappearances that happened in their seemingly charming town, only to discover a story much bigger and weirder than they’ve imagined.

“As our heroes try to discern fact from fiction – about the case, about their colleagues, and, most painfully, themselves – the series challenges our perception of truth and exposes the stories we tell ourselves to justify our beliefs or validate our fears,” reads Netflix’s press release.

Will Forte (Saturday Night Live) leads the cast of this series, alongside Siobhán Cullen (The Dry), Robyn Cara (Trying), David Wilmot (Station Eleven), and Chris Walley (The Young Offenders). Jez Scharf created the series for Netflix and serves as its showrunner alongside Alex Metcalf. They’re both executive producing it, while Nash Edgerton came on board as the lead director.

Bodkin will debut on Netflix on May 9 with all seven episodes.
