The release date of Kaos is less than ten days away, and Netflix gave us a taste of things to come with a full trailer. Jeff Goldblum leads the way as the modern version of Zeus, who’s trying to hold onto his power by any means possible.
Goldblum leads Kaos as the contemporary version of Zeus, whose position as the cruel ruler of the gods is threatened after he discovers a wrinkle on his forehead.
“Paranoia builds, leading the supreme deity down a dangerous and unstable path. All-powerful Zeus is convinced his fall is nigh and sees omens of doom everywhere… As Zeus battles his greatest fears, the rest of his family is scheming and failing in their own ways,” reads Netflix’s official logline.
In addition to Goldblum in the lead role, Kaos also stars David Thewlis as Hades, Janet McTeer as Hera, Cliff Curtis as Poseidon, Nabhaan Rizwan as Dionysus, Killian Scott as Orpheus, and Rakie Ayola as Persephone, Debi Mazar as Medusa, plus human characters played by Debi Mazar, Billie Piper, and Eddie Izzard.
Kaos was created for Netflix by Charlie Covell (The End of the F***ing World), and it will feature a total of six episodes, set to premiere on Netflix on August 29.
