This year’s Valentine’s Day was one for the books – at least for hardcore Bridgerton fans! Netflix celebrated this holiday by dropping a new Season 3 promo clip, which captures the rocky moments of Penelope and Colin’s blooming romance.
Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) may be the stars of the show’s new season, but things will be pretty complicated between them at the very start—and not in a good way. The new promo clip shows heartbroken Penelope confronting Colin about mean things he said about her at the end of Season 2, before dramatically walking away.
This scene will set off an incredible chain of events for Penelope, who’s finally ready to give up her childhood crush on Colin and look for a suitable husband. Her lack of confidence makes things extremely difficult, and things get even more complicated once Colin tries to help her out, in an attempt to get back in her good graces.
Adjoa Andoh, Jonathan Bailey, Claudia Jessie, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, Polly Walker, and Simone Ashley will also be back in Season 3, which will feature several newcomers to the Ton, including Hannah Dodd, Daniel Francis, James Phoon, and Sam Phillips.
Netflix will release the third season of Bridgerton in two installments, set to premiere on May 16 and June 13.
