Netflix Drops New Character Posters Ahead of “The Crown” Season 5 Premiere

Season 5 of The Crown was a long time coming, and the more we learn about it—the more royally excited we are! Netflix recently unveiled still images and character posters for the fifth season of the acclaimed royal drama ahead of the trailer premiere on Thursday.

The split images depict some of the key players we’ll get to watch in the upcoming season1the Queen (Imelda Stanton), Prince Philip (Jonathan Pryce), Prince Charles (Dominic West), Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki), and Princess Margaret (Lesley Manville).

Netflix also dropped another poster that captures the split between two sides of the royal family. It shows the Queen watching over the blurred images of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, and it’s been captioned with the tagline “A House Divided”.

Season 5 is set to chronicle one of the most tumultuous times in the life of the royal family, including the fallout of the rocky marriage between Prince Charles and Princess Diana. It will be set during the ’90s when the public opposition to the royal family became stronger than ever.

The supporting cast includes Jonny Lee Miller as John Major, Marcia Warren as the Queen Mother, Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, and Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Fayed. The new season of The Crown will premiere on Netflix on November 9.
