John Mulaney’s collaboration with Netflix is a gift that keeps on giving, and their next project together will be the grandest one yet. The award-winning stand-up comedian will join forces with the streamer for the six-episode comedy special John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in L.A.

This promising project was announced during the Netflix Is a Joke comedy festival, via a short teaser that sees several people from Los Angeles describing its premise.

“John Mulaney explores the city of Los Angeles with his comedian friends… No one is confirmed yet, but a lot of people are in play. Everyone who passed did it in a nice, very funny way. It’s a celebration of L.A.” they say in the promo clip.

According to the streamer’s official logline, this comedy special will see Mulaney exploring Los Angeles during a week when every funny person seems to be in the city. The special will feature six episodes, with the first installment debuting on May 3, while the remaining five will hit Netflix between May 6-10.

Netflix and Mulaney have been in business for quite some time. His last three stand-up comedy specials The Comeback Kid, Kid Gorgeous at Radio City, and Baby J are all streaming on Netflix, and the latter two both won him an Emmy for outstanding writing for a variety special.
