Season 5 of Lucifer just got bigger!

The upcoming final season of the supernatural crime drama has just been expanded to a total episode count of 16.

The news was announced Friday via Netflix’s See What’s Next Twitter account.

While this is much better than the original count of 10, it’s still considerably shorter than the first 3 installments of the show that originally aired on Fox.

After Fox axed the show, it was picked up for a fourth season by Netflix. It was then announced that the fifth season on the streaming giant will be Lucifer’s last.

“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for … letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!” said co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson.
