Netflix Is At It Again!

The streaming service recently released a reboot of an old classic series Lost In Space, and of course, critiques wasted no time hopping on the review wagon.

If you aren’t sure what Lost In Space is, here’s a brief synopsis; A family of space colonists (The Robinsons) is scouting the universe when suddenly their spaceship veers off course. When their vehicle comes crashing down on a new and unfamiliar planet, the family is left to adjust to life as they never knew it. Along for the ride are other main characters, Dr. Smith and Don West. The story is the journey of their adjustment living off a new land with unusual characters around them.

So A Space Family, A Doctor, And A Robot Walk Into A Reboot Series…

Reboots have become a popular trend in recent years with the rise in streaming services and their spin on series for consumers. However, it’s also known that these revamped series can be well received or, well, not so much. As for Lost In Space, it’s sitting at a 69% on rotten tomatoes which is neither awfully low nor outstanding – keeping in mind; it was only released in April of 2018. It’s also fair to remember that the original series premiered in 1965 and that it’s likely going to lack the audience it had back when it was popular the first time around.

What’s the verdict? Well, you’ll have to give the series a go yourself and be the judge of that. But if you’re into the whole sci-fi thriller scene, it might be worth the time.
