The second season of the Australian teen drama Heartbreak High recently ended its run, and there’s more where that came from! Netflix is planning to wrap up this story in style, with the third and final season of the acclaimed coming-of-age series.

Inspired by the 90s soap opera of the same name, Heartbreak High centers on a teenage girl Amerie who must repair her reputation while navigating love, friendship, and heartbreak at Hartley High with her fellow misfit friends Quinni and Darren.

Ayesha Madon led the ensemble cast of this series, alongside Thomas Weatherall, Bryn Chapman Parish, Asher Yasbincek, James Majoos, Chloé Hayden, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, Sherry-Lee Watson, Josh Heuston, plus Sam Rechner and Kartanya Maynard, who joined them in Season 2.

Que Minh Luu, director of content for Netflix ANZ, announced the show’s renewal and described its final season as a major point of pride for this streaming service.

“It has been a joy to work with the utterly cooked creative minds behind our favorite Aussie YA show and to bring our stories, our culture, and our in-jokes to all the fans here at home and throughout the world. See you at muck up day,” she said in a statement.
