Outer Banks has grown into one of Netflix’s most beloved coming-of-age dramas since its premiere in 2020, but all good things must come to an end. The Pogues will embark on their final adventure in the upcoming fifth season of this hit Netflix series, which will also mark its final chapter.
The second part of Season 4 of Outer Banks is returning to Netflix on November 7, and the masterminds behind this show came up with a special way to mark the occasion. They announced that Season 5 is in the works while also revealing it will be the show’s last.
“Now, with a little sadness, but also excitement, we’re putting Season Four behind us, and are turning to Season Five, in which we hope to bring our beloved Pogues home in the way we imagined and planned years ago. Season Five will be our last season, and we think it will be our best yet,” said creators Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke in a joint statement.
Outer Banks is set in a small coastal town in North Carolina, where a group of teens is determined to find a legendary treasure linked to the disappearance of one of their fathers. Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Carlacia Grant, Drew Starkey, Austin North, and Fiona Palomo lead the ensemble cast of this series.
