It’s been less than two weeks since Season 3 of Sex Education premiered on Netflix, and the next chapter is already on the way. Moordale Secondary School will stay open for another school year after the streaming giant announced its decision to renew the critically acclaimed teen comedy for another season.

Sex Education centers on the shy teen Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield), the son of a successful sex therapist, whose life turns upside down after he starts giving out sex advice to his classmates at Moordale, along with a fellow student Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey).

In addition to Butterfield and Mackey, the brilliant ensemble cast of Sex Education also includes Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Alistair Petrie, Mimi Keene, and Aimee Lou Wood, who won a BAFTA Television Award for best female comedy performance for her supporting turn in this series.

Sex Education was met with rave reviews since its premiere in 2019 and received praise for its ensemble cast, writing and direction, and mature treatment of its subject matter. The third season of the series premiered on Netflix on September 17th, and it’s still unclear how long we will have to wait for its follow-up.
