Grace and Frankie has been around for seven seasons, becoming Netflix’s longest-running show, but all good things must come to an end. This award-winning sitcom is nearing its swan song and the streamer just shared the first look at the last episodes of the show.
Four episodes of Season 7 premiered in August before the show’s team took a break from filming due to Covid restrictions.
“We were out of production. We were in just episode five. We were really rocking, and then we didn’t shoot again for another year and a half. So it was really challenging. But it was sort of magic the way it all sort of still worked out,” co-creator Howard J. Morris told Entertainment Weekly.
Grace and Frankie centers around two women who couldn’t be any more different from each other but manage to form an unbreakable bond after their husbands announce they’re leaving them to marry each other. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin play the titular roles, while the rest of the cast includes Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, Brooklyn Decker, Ethan Embry, June Diane Raphael, and Baron Vaughn. The remaining 12 episodes of Season 7 will hit Netflix on April 29.
