The release date of Avatar: The Last Airbender is just two months away, and Netflix is doing a great job teasing this project. The streaming giant recently shared a series of new images from this highly-anticipated show, introducing us to some beloved fan-favorite characters.
According to its official synopsis, Avatar: The Last Airbender follows a young Air Nomad Aang, as he reawakens to a world ravaged by war. Together with his newfound friends Sokka and Katara, he embarks on an action-packed quest to take his rightful place as the next Avatar, the master of all four elements.
Netflix previously unveiled a look at the show’s leading trio, Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, and Ian Ousley as Sokka, in addition to dropping a teaser last month—and there’s more where that came from!
New photos offer a glimpse of Gran Gran, an esteemed elder of the Southern Water Tribe, Mayor Yukari and her daughter Suki, the fierce leaders of Kyoshi Island, Mechanist, an inventor from the Earth Kingdom, Jet, a young warrior from the Earth Kingdom, and June, a bounty hunter from the Earth Kingdom.
We’ll get to see all these characters in action on February 22, 2024, when all eight episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender are set to premiere on Netflix.
