David Nicholls’s book One Day already produced one hit adaptation – and another one is on the way! Netflix will mark Valentine’s Day with the release of the TV series based on this book, led by Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall, and the first trailer for this adaptation will make you swoon!

One Day kicks off on July 15, 1988, the faithful night of Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew’s graduation. They speak for the very first time and go their separate ways the next morning, kicking off the chain of events that will reshape their lives forever.

“Where will they be on this one ordinary day the next year, and the year after that, and every year that follows? Each episode finds Dex and Em one year older on this one particular date as they grow and change, move together and apart, and experience joy and heartbreak,” reads Netflix’s official logline.

In addition to the leading duo, taking over from Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess who played Emma and Dexter in the original movie, this series will also star Essie Davis, Tim McInnerny, Amber Grappy, Jonny Weldon, Eleanor Tomlinson, Joely Richardson, and Toby Stephens. It will premiere on Netflix on February 8, just in time for Valentine’s Day!
