Netflix’s “Tiger King” Spin-Off Will Show A New Side To The Story

Joe Exotic in"Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness"

A new comic book spin-off of Netflix most talked-about show will show a new side to the story of the infamous Joe Exotic and his zoo.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is full of ridiculous twists and turns that resulted in the show becoming the center of thousands of memes. Although the show touched on issues of cub breeding and keeping animals on captivity, the series ended up being more about the feud between Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic than it did about the animals.

Now, a spin-off comic is on the way and it will look at the reality behind zoos like Joe Exotic’s. It is to be titled Infamous: Tiger King and will be released both in print and digitally. The animal rights group behind the comic is convinced that people who read it will change their minds about Joe Exotic and Doc Antle. That is, of course, unless you already side with Carole.

PETA’s Brittany Peet, who appeared in the Netflix show, said: “When readers learn how exotic animals suffer when they’re snatched away from their mothers as babies and exploited for photo props, they’ll despise ‘Doc’ Antle, Tim Stark, Jeff Lowe, and anybody else who profits from breeding and abusing these wonderful animals in shady, moneymaking schemes.”
