Gotham season 5 will be the darkest season yet.
A brand new trailer for the highly anticipated fifth season of Gotham has been dropped, and it appears that the end is nigh for the citizens of Gotham. The dark and ominous trailer shows scenes of many of our favorite DC villains including Penguin, Scarecrow and, of course, The Joker.
The trailer also introduces one new villain, who fans will remember from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Night Rises. The violent and dangerous villain Bane will be making his long overdue arrival to the series.
It also seems that Bruce Wayne’s transformation into the Dark Knight is drawing nearer. As Gotham descends into No Man’s Land, the city is desperately in need of a superhero.

“The world may seem dark, but there’s hope,” David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne tells Commissioner Gordon. The spooky track repeating ‘this is the end’ and the influx of twisted dark villains makes this hope hard to locate.
