Nickelodeon found success with The Thundermans Return this spring, and they’re bringing this superhero team back for another ride. The new spin-off series set in the same universe is officially happening, with the cast from the original TV movie reprising their roles.
The new spin-off series will see Kira Kosarin and Jack Griffo return as Phoebe and Max, who are sent undercover to handle a new threat in the seaside town of Secret Shores. Once their mission is over, they must return home with Chloe (Maya Le Clark) and help her develop her superhero talent.
The Thundermans Return and its spin-off series both draw inspiration from Nickelodeon’s hit series The Thundermans. It ran on this network between 2013 and 2018 and it centered on a trio of siblings trying to master their superpowers.
Nickelodeon and Paramount+ revived this franchise with the TV film The Thundermans Return, which premiered back in March. It saw the family at the heart of this show kick off a new era of superhero crime fighting and attracted 1.6 million viewers across four telecasts during its premiere weekend.
The Thundermans Return spin-off series will kick off production in Vancouver, Canada this August, and it will feature several original cast members in guest roles, alongside Kosarin, Clark, and Griffo.
