It’s been five years since the second season of Big Little Lies ended its run on HBO, and its fans have been waiting for the next chapter ever since. Nicole Kidman recently shared some amazing news about the show’s future and revealed she’s constantly texting about Season 3 with her co-star Reese Witherspoon.
Kidman is currently busy promoting her upcoming series Expats, but she also took a moment to discuss some of her future projects while talking to Variety. The third season of Big Little Lies came up during their interview, and the Emmy-winning actress said they’re “at work on it.”
She also added that she and Reese Witherspoon are “texting every day” about the show’s future season, adding “there’s a timeline and we’re doing it.” Kidman wrapped up the interview by saying she can’t reveal anything more about Big Little Lies 3, but things are looking pretty good so far.
Just a few days before Kidman’s interview, HBO boss Casey Bloys shared some amazing news about the show’s future but added they’ll have trouble working around everyone’s schedule.
“The entire cast is doing shows and movies, and everybody’s very busy. But it’s a very special group. They love working together. And when they land on an idea, I believe they will make it happen. We’re excited when they’re ready, and we will take those steps when they’re ready,” Bloys told Variety.
