We’ve seen Nicole Kidman lead several hit murder mystery dramas in recent years, and she’s always in the mood for another one. She’s leading a lavish life in Nantucket with her family in the first trailer for The Perfect Couple, until a dead body is found on the beach, turning everyone into a suspect.
Kidman leads the cast as a bestselling novelist living it up with her family in Nantucket, until the arrival of her son Benji and his fiancé Amelia Sacks throws a wrench into their image of a perfect family.
“[Amelia’s] disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury, has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season – until a body turns up on the beach,” reads Netflix’s official logline.
As secrets come to light, celebration is replaced with horror, and everyone is suddenly a suspect in a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels.
In addition to Kidman, the star-studded cast of The Perfect Couple also includes Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, Meghann Fahy, Ishaan Khattar, Billy Howle, Jack Reynor, Sam Nivola, Mia Isaac, Isabelle Adjani, and Omar Epps. It will feature six episodes, set to premiere on Netflix on September 5.
