After giving us amazing performances in Big Little Lies and The Undoing, Nicole Kidman will continue her foray into the world of television with Nine Perfect Strangers. The first trailer for this mini-series is here, and it’s promising an eerie journey into the unknown.

Based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel of the same name, Nine Perfect Strangers centers on a mysterious woman leading a boutique health-and-wellness resort, promising healing and transformational experience to its visitors, who are completely unaware of its true nature.

The unsettling first teaser premiered at this year’s Academy Awards, and it gives us a short glimpse at some of the show’s supporting players. In addition to Kidman, the mini-series stars Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, and Samara Weaving.

Nine Perfect Strangers filmed in Australia, between August and December of last year. In addition to playing the lead role, Kidman will executive produce the project. This is her third collaboration with David E. Kelley, following the success of Big Little Lies and The Undoing.
