Noah Hawley’s collaboration with FX is a gift that keeps on giving, and their next show together will be the biggest one yet. Fargo creator is plotting a new series set in the Alien universe, and this highly-anticipated show officially has a new title: Alien: Earth.

FX Boss John Landgraf discussed their collaboration with Hawley in a recent interview with Variety and revealed the title of his next show. They settled on Alien: Earth and Howley doubled down on that statement, saying that’s the title he discussed with the network.

Howley also revealed that this show entered the post-production and that he’s now in the process of figuring out what he wants it to be cinematically.

“We just wrapped production and so now I’m into the long post that gets into visual effects. It’s a very big show. It’s nice to have some time with it. The first year of anything, you want to feel like you’re not up against the wall in terms of time,” he told Variety.

Alien: Earth has been conceived as the prequel to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic Alien, and it’s set three decades before the events of this film. Its ensemble cast includes Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, and Samuel Blenkin.
