Our 2018 Netflix Highlights

Bob Odenkirk in "Better Call Saul"

We can’t believe that 2018 is almost over. Looking back, we also can’t believe just how many amazing seasons of television we have managed to cram in. We’ve stepped back briefly to take a look at the year and remember some of its best highlights… on Netflix.

The Haunting of Hill House

At the top of the list is the 2018 debut of The Haunting of Hill House. It’s not often that we stumble across a genuinely gripping horror series, and this creepy Netflix series ticked all the boxes.

Orange Is The New Black (Season 6)

Not everyone was a fan of the latest Orange Is The New Black season, but we at Watching TV Now thought it was superb. Although not all of the new characters were as well crafted as our Litchfield favorites, the season was exciting, tense and successfully shook things up on the show.

Better Call Saul (Season 5)

If you love Breaking Bad but didn’t make it past the first season of Better Call Saul, we recommend starting at season 4 just so you get to experience Season 5. It’s some of the tensest and most satisfying TV we’ve seen since Heisenberg was at large.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was not the reboot we were expecting. Other than the fact it features a teenage witch named Sabrina, it’s miles apart from the cheesey yet charming ’90s original. It’s dark, gruesome and we can’t wait to see what happens next.

Bojack Horseman (Season 5)

Is it sad that one of our 2018 highlights was watching the hopelessness and despair that is Bojack Horseman? We don’t care either way because season 5 was incredible, albeit horribly depressing.
