Our Thoughts On “The Inbetweeners” 10 Year Anniversary “Fwends Reunited” Episode

On New Year’s Day, The Inbetweeners special “Fwends Reunited” aired to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the iconic show. Although some fans were disappointed, if you are a fan of the show but haven’t seen it for a while, it’s probably worth watching.

The reunion was hosted by Jimmy Carr, who spent most of the show relentlessly mocking the cast. Throughout the show, celebrity guests stepped up to award prizes such as “the best bodily malfunction,” which was awarded to Simon for that awful time he puked all over Carly’s younger brother. Gregg Davis also won the best teacher award which was lucky, because he was the only contender.

The episode looked back at some of the cringiest moments and highlights of The Inbetweeners show. We were forced to re-watch some of Jay’s most face-palm tall-tales and the time Neil punched a fish to death in what was voted the “Best Inbetweeners moment” ever.

The show also featured a quiz which had superfans competing to win the s**t Fiat that Simon drove in the series. One superfan revealed a tattoo of Jay captioned “Clunge” on her thigh, which had the room in hysterics.

Overall, the episode didn’t give us much we hadn’t seen before, but it did have us laughing over the humiliating moments we had forgotten about. We also learned that the actor who plays Jay (James Buckley) is full of cracking one-liners, and we’d quite like to see him on a panel show with Jimmy Carr and Gregg Davis in the future.
