Sarah Michelle Gellar made her long-awaited TV comeback with the role in Wolf Pack, but this supernatural drama was short-lived. The future of this show has been uncertain for months, but Paramount+ finally announced its cancelation after a single season.

Wolf Pack is based on Edo Van Belkom’s book series of the same name, and it centers on a group of teenagers whose lives are changed forever after a raging wildfire descends on California, awakening a terrifying supernatural creature.

After being bitten by a werewolf, Everett (Armani Jackson) and Blake (Bella Shepard) are inexplicably drawn to twins Harlan (Tyler Lawrence Gray) and Luna (Chloe Rose Robertson), who have been adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire.

In addition to the four leads, Wolf Pack also starred Rodrigo Santoro and Sarah Michelle Gellar. She also served as one of the executive producers alongside the creator Jeff Davis, plus Joe Genier, Mike Elliott, Karen Gorodetzky, Jason Ensler, and Christian Taylor.

The cancelation of Wolf Pack comes about a year after its Paramount+ premiere on January 26, 2023. The show’s first season ran for eight episodes, and it ended its run on March 16, 2023, before the streamer pulled the plug.
