The third season of Mayor of Kingstown was a long time coming and its return is finally on the horizon. Jeremy Renner is back as Mike McLusky in the first teaser trailer for the third season of the Paramount+ crime drama, set to premiere in June.

Season 3 will see a series of explosions rock Kingstown and its citizens, from the Russian mob setting up shop in the city to the war raging between the gangs inside and outside prison walls.

“The pressure is on Mike McLusky (Renner) to end the war but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to undermine the Mayor’s attempts to keep the peace among all factions,” reads the streamer’s official logline.

Renner leads the ensemble cast of this crime drama, alongside Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Nishi Munshi, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Michael Beach.

The future of Mayor of Kingstown was uncertain in the wake of Renner’s snowplow accident that put him in a critical condition in early 2023. Another season was green-lit after his recovery was completed and he agreed to return for another ride.

Season 3 will premiere on June 2 in North America before rolling out in other Paramount+ markets one day later.
