SkyMed took us on quite a journey in its first two seasons, and its heroes are gearing up for another amazing adventure. Paramount+ renewed the medical drama for its third season, which will soon kick off production in Canada.

According to the streamer’s official logline, SkyMed revolves around life, death, and drama at 20,000 feet by weaving together the triumphs, heartbreaks, and tribulations of budding nurses and pilots taking on high-stakes medical rescues and flying air ambulances across the remote skies of Northern Canada.

Natasha Calis, Morgan Holmstrom, Praneet Akilla, Aason Nadjiwan, Mercedes Morris, Thomas Elms, Kheon Clarke, Rebecca Kwan, Braeden Clarke, Emilia McCarthy, Patrick Kwok-Choon, Jeff Teravainen, and Aaron Ashmore lead the show’s ensemble cast, and they’ll be joined by several newcomers in Season 3.

Anthony Grant (Star Trek: Discovery) will play a fun-loving pilot TJ, who secretly carries some heavy baggage of his own despite his sunny demeanor. Nicola Correia-Damude (Shadowhunters) joined the cast as Marianne, a city slicker struggling to fit in.

The nine-episode third season will kick off production in Manitoba and Ontario on March 25. The next chapter will see the SkyMed team experiencing heart-pulsing rescues, new love, and hard goodbyes on the job, while facing more dangerous missions across the wilderness.
