Disney+ has given us one of its best Marvel series to date with WandaVision, and we’ll soon be reunited with one of its main characters. Paul Bettany agreed to return as Vision in the upcoming Disney+ series that puts his character front and center.
The new Vision series hails from Star Trek: Picard executive producer Terry Matalas, who’ll serve as its writer and showrunner. Paul Bettany will reprise the role he played in three Marvel films and WandaVision, but plot details are being kept under wraps.
It’s unclear if this project will be connected with Vision Quest, a spin-off series first announced in 2022. This series was supposed to center on Vision trying to regain his memory and humanity, and the door was open for Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) to make a comeback, as well.
Bettany was open to coming back as Vision ever since WandaVision ended its run, and he always felt there were more stories left to be told involving his character.
“You never know with Marvel, whether you’re done, or not. So I don’t want to call it the end yet. This was one of the most creative experiences of my life, joyful and free, making this show. To see it embraced by an audience the way it was, was so wonderful,” he previously told Deadline.
