If you’re based in the UK, you can no longer watch the first season of Rick and Morty on Netflix.
UK fans will be disappointed to learn that if they want to tune in for their weekly fix of cartoon sci-fi nihilism and debauchery, they’re going to be limited to seasons two and three.
Worse still, it is likely that the second season will be the next to depart from the streaming service. The decision was made not because Netflix are determined to annoy everyone by taking off one of their most popular shows, but because their license with Adult Swim has likely expired.
Fans of the show have taken to Twitter to voice their anger:
“YOU GUYS ARE STEALING RICK & MORTY FROM US!?!?!? WTF MAN!!!!” one viewer wrote.
Another threatened to leave when they heard the news: “If you remove Rick & Morty I’m cancelling my subscription, @NetflixUK. Prepare to be bombarded with complaints.”
