It looks like Evil Morty will be returning for season 4 of Rick and Morty.

It’s been over two years since everyone’s favorite narcissistic scientists and his sidekick treated us with new adventures. The season ended with a post-credit scene from Mr. Pooybutthole confirming that the next season could arrive in a “really, really long time.”

Sometime later, it was announced that the animated series had been commissioned for seventy more episodes. This equates to what will likely be six or seven more seasons of the show. There is still no release date for season four, but it’s looking like it will land in November via Adult Swim.

Earlier this week, the official Rick and Morty Twitter account shared a black and white photo of multiple Mortys. Among the crowd is the mysterious character known as “Evil Morty”.

Last time we saw Evil Morty, he was democratically elected to run the Citadel. He overthrew the Rick council and effectively became a dictator. This image suggests that he will be a reoccurring threat to Rick and that the new season will develop his story further.

And we only have to wait until November to find out.
